The Same Old 10/04/08
Jeremy over at magCulture has a great section called ‘How similar is similar?‘ in relation to different magazine titles looking the same, but what about when a magazine copies itself? After looking through some old issues of WIRED the other day, I was struck by a sense of déjà vu upon finding an issue from 1997 … Gizmodo seems to have also noticed.
Kral’s Collection 18/10/07
I just stumbled upon Joe Kral’s Flickr page, which houses a massive collection of magazine and book covers. Very nice. Via the most excellent Bevel and Boss.
Cover - Behold The Man 03/07/07
As well as being one of my favorite books, the cover of the 1970 reissue of Behold The Man by Michael Moorcock is one of my favorite pieces of graphic design. After reading a friends copy (which had a different cover) I had a look around on eBay to get my own, and ended up picking this up for around $4 from the US. Unfortunately there is no cover credit inside, so if anyone has any clue as to who designed this I’d be interested to know.
