Battles with UVA 15/10/07
UnitedVisualArtist have been working with Battles to create the video for their single ‘Tonto’, and as you can guess, the result is amazing. Set in a disused Welsh slate mine, UVA created a LED installation that was synchronised with the audio to great effect. There are also some photo documentation of the making of the clip on their blog.

The FADER magazine have a great interview over on their website with Timothy Saccenti, the director of the completely insane and amazing “Piecebone” film clip (from the Animal Collectives latest album Strawberry Jam). Timothy goes through the process of making the video, including production stills, storyboards and other behind-the-scenes info.
Midnight Juggernauts - Dystopia 10/08/07
Fellow Melbournians Vin and Andy of Midnight Juggernauts have just released their debut album Dystopia through their own label Siberia. There is a great review of the album over at Mess+Noise (not that anyone should need convincing), but while you’re there, have a listen to a few of the tracks off Barrage’s latest album ‘2′. Awesome.
